All the talk has been about Finnick, but there’s an equally – if not more – important part that needs to be cast for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

That character is Johanna Mason, who is a former Hunger Games winner sent into the Third Quarter Quell. She comes with some serious attitude.

Today IndieWire revealed that two actresses are currently being considered by Lionsgate:

Sources close to the project tell The Playlist that Mia Wasikowska and model/actress Zoe Aggeliki are in the mix for Johanna Mason.

Both actresses have been in discussions for the part, but we hear that Aggeliki could sign in the coming days, however nothing is certain just yet.

Of interest to our readers, Aggeliki has already been cast for a role in the Percy Jackson sequel, Sea of Monsters, as Silena Beauregard.

Do you think either of these actresses would be great for Johanna?

We trust IndieWire because, as you may recall, it broke the news that Gary Ross would not be directing Catching Fire.

We just wrapped recording a new episode of our podcast, Hunger Games Chat, and discussed these two ladies and many others for the role of Johanna! Expect the episode this weekend.
