A tantalizing first look at Agent Carter aired during last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!
Marvel may have made a few enormously significant announcements yesterday, but let it never be said that the studio neglects their small-screen properties.
While everyone was waiting for new Age of Ultron footage in last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a teaser trailer for Agent Carter flashed across our screens. Though brief, the footage is the very first we’ve seen of Agent Carter, which will air its eight episodes during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s winter hiatus.
The teaser trailer offers a look at Peggy’s leg (because we forgot for a while that she’s a woman) as well as a few quick shots of Carter shooting bad guys… and is that an uber-brief glimpse of Edwin Jarvis?
The synopsis for season one of Agent Carter was released yesterday, but we’ll forgive you for losing track amid all that other Marvel news. Said summary indicates that Jarvis will become an important part of Peggy’s journey in the series, when he is drafted by Howard Stark “to be at her beck and call.”
But this new task may not be easy for Jarvis, who “is going to have to make some major life changes if he’s going to be able to keep up with Peggy.”
In addition to Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Agent Carter will star James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis and Shea Whigham as S.S.R. Chief Roger Dooley. Chad Michael Murray will play Agent Jack Thompson, and Enver Gjokaj will play Agent Daniel Sousa.
Marvel’s Agent Carter will air this winter on Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
