J.Law and C.Pratt star in Passengers, the scary space-Titanic coming to theaters this Christmas.

It’s the movie we’ve all been waiting for: The one that not only unites two of the hottest young A-listers in Hollywood, but also sounds like it’s gonna tell a really decent story.

Passengers casts Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence as a pair of passengers (!) aboard a space vessel aptly dubbed Starship Avalon, transporting a group of colonists to a brave new planet.

The journey will take more than 100 years, so for the duration of the journey, the settlers are locked in cryo sleep.

Only Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence wake 60 years too early, and now have to figure out how to survive stranded in space, with no hope of rescue.

Here’s the first poster, which seems based on the movie still released by EW earlier this year:

There’s another variant of the poster floating around out there, depicted here:

With the poster officially out, we’re hoping that it won’t be long until the first trailer hits! It’ll be very exciting to see Lawrence and Pratt on screen together, in what promises to be at once a terrifying and humorous story.

The movie is directed by Morten Tyldum, and also stars Laurence Fishburne, Michael Sheen, Jamie Soricelli and Aurora Perrineau.

Passengers is released on theaters on December 21, just five days after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. We have a feeling that both of these space flicks will do pretty well, however…
