The British cult sci-fi comedy – originally aired from the late eighties to nineties – will return to television screens later this year. A new picture has been released which shows the four principal cast members reunited at last!

Red Dwarf was cancelled after its eighth series in 1999, despite series-high ratings of over eight million (a sizeable amount for British television) so that the BBC could pursue other projects. After three specials in 2009, cable broadcaster Dave picked up the comedy for a new series – over a decade after the last full series of the show.

Reuniting principal cast members Chris Barrie, Craig Charles, Danny John-Jules, and Robert Llewellyn, the series is hotly anticipated by fans of the original show. Check out the new photo, which features the group back together at last, below.
