After years of dancing around The Great Gatsby, director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo+Juliet) has finally started converting the classic piece of literature into film form. These 8 photos give our first look into Luhrmann’s translation. What do you think?

It seems that this once doomed production may end up being stellar after all. We haven’t seen or heard much from the production (other than that it will be presented in 3D, a move that sickened many faithful Gatsby readers), but the presence of these three actors delivers a pretty big promise!
