Girls returns to HBO this Sunday with the first two episodes of season 3. Check out a new clip and photos below!
The ladies of Lena Dunham’s hit HBO show Girls return this Sunday, January 12. In the first clip from the season premiere, viewers gain a bit of insight as to where Hannah, Shoshanna, and Marnie stand in their lives. (With a bit of commentary from Adam!)
Hannah’s Taco Dinner Party
Marnie laments on her march through the doldrums of her break-up with Charlie, to which Adam replies what we are all thinking: “That is the saddest thing I have ever heard.” But unlike miserable Marnie, Hannah appears to create a silver lining for everyone at the table. Who knows, maybe Charlie really does have a brain tumor that is making him crazy!
Shoshanna lays out her plan for senior year that will optimize her chances to both enjoy her formidable years as well as prepare herself for life outside the safety blanket of academia. One night for her studies and one night for her parties seems to be a reasonable balance. Plus, as Marnie points out, leaving room for romance and heartache is overrated.

Judging by both the clip and the photo in the kitchen, Adam and Hannah are enjoying life in domestic bliss. It will be interesting to see the newly empowered Hannah guiding everyone through their new stages of life. It will be nice to watch Hannah have it all, no matter how long it lasts.
There may be no sign of Jessa in the first clip of the season, but we’re sure that some whirlwind adventure is waiting just around the corner for her on Sunday.
