At their Comic-Con panel WB revealed their first Batman v Superman footage, and included was the first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

The footage from the panel has yet to come online, but people in attendance quickly took pictures of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman as this was our first reveal of her.

Zack Snyder released a high quality version on his Twitter account:

Gadot signed on as Wonder Woman back in January. Her contract includes Batman v Superman and at least one solo Wonder Woman movie. The other film on her contract is undoubtedly the Batman v Superman followup Justice League.

Gadot is best known for her role as Gisele in the Fast and Furious series. She is an Israeli actress and model.

After she was cast, Batman v Superman direct Zack Snyder released this statement:

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role.”

Now that we’ve seen her as Wonder Woman, we have to agree with Snyder. Fans had voiced concerns about her being too small for the part, but this image proves that she’s put in the work necessary to embody the Wonder Woman character.

We look forward to seeing Gadot in action as Wonder Woman, but we don’t expect that will be anytime soon. The movie isn’t set to be released until May 6, 2016 (the same day as Captain America 3), so there shouldn’t be any trailers anytime soon. The small footage shown at Comic-Con only featured Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill reprising his Man of Steel Superman role.
