It’s a busy week for American Assassin fans, and it’s only Monday! But now we know what Dylan O’Brien will look like as Mitch Rapp in the adaptation.
Last week, we brought you news that Sanaa Lathan had joined American Assassin in the vital role of CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy.
Now, we have an image of Dylan O’Brien in the starring role of Mitch Rapp, which was first teased with an epic silhouette with O’Brien at the center. Check them both out below:
Update: Apparently the second photo of O’Brien was taken just this morning, September 12.

Longtime Dylan O’Brien fans will surely need a moment to wrap their heads around his new look for the movie. O’Brien’s Teen Wolf and Maze Runner characters kept him looking like a teenager or young adult, but Mitch Rapp is definitely an adult role.
The current synopsis of the film reads:
AMERICAN ASSASSIN follows the rise of Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien), a CIA black ops recruit under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton). The pair is then enlisted by CIA Depity Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to investgate a wave of apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets. Togther the three discover a pattrn in the violence leading them to a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent (Shiva Negar) to stop a mysterious operative (Taylor Kitsch) intent on starting a Word War in the Middle East.
O’Brien is scheduled to appear in Teen Wolf season 6, and many believe he’ll be filming the second half of the final season of the series before he hits the Death Cure set come February.
