Check out this gorgeous sneak peek from Beauty and the Beast featuring clips from the table read, set pieces and more.

While we don’t get to see the actors in costume, this Beauty and the Beast sneak peek gives us a glimpse at what Emma Watson and Dan Stevens’ dynamic as Belle and Beast will be:

At the star-specked table read, you can see Emma Watson sitting between Belle’s two potential suitors: Beast (Dan Stevens) and Gaston (Luke Evans). Next to Gaston is Josh Gad, who is playing LeFou.

We hear Watson (as Belle) ask, “What are you reading?” Stevens (as Beast) gruffly bites back, “Nothing.”

“Guinevere and Lancelot,” Belle remarks, after which the Beast corrects her: “King Arthur and the Round Table.”

“Still a romance,” Belle counters, after which Beast grumbles that he “felt like a change.”

Director Bill Condon shares his excitement about Disney’s plans for a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, although he does admit the danger of trying to redo something that’s already “so perfect.”

But the reason for retelling this tale as old as time is simple: “Technology has caught up to the ideas that were introduced in that movie,” Condon explains.

The sneak peek came as part of a promotional campaign for the “Beauty and the Beast Walt Disney Signature Collection Edition,” a special 25th anniversary edition of Beauty and the Beast. The digital download will be available September 6, and should include the full clip as well. The DVD/Blu-ray is out September 20.
