Even though Joss Whedon’s Firefly only spanned a criminal half-season, Amazon is hosting a great deal that could give you all 665 minutes of Firefly on Blu-ray for under twenty bucks.

True, Firefly and its film-companion Serenity are available on Netflix Instant, but that comes without all of the special features included in the Firefly Blu-ray package such as commentary, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes features, and interviews with the cast. Also included are Alan Tudyk’s original audition tape, Whedon singing the Firefly theme, and all sorts of extra goodies that should make any coat turn a deeper shade of brown.

Below we’ve included the cover art, along with a short list of features available on the Blu-ray so that you can decide for yourself if you want to own the entire adventure. Thanks to Slashfilm for the heads up!

In any case, the full first (and only) season of Firefly on Blu-ray typically runs anywhere from 40-50 bucks, and in one of its fancy daily deals, Amazon is offering the full series for $18.49. This will come especially useful to listeners of our ReWatchable podcast, since we’re currently starting up with a full watch-through of the entire Firefly series.
