The final trailer for J.J. Abrams’ WWII zombie movie Overlord is here, and it reveals dark secrets hiding behind enemy lines.

Overlord has been getting rave reviews, earning the movie a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And while we still have a few more weeks to wait for the movie to hit theaters, the final trailer has got us on the edge of our seats.

When a group of American paratroopers lands in Nazi-occupied France a few hours before D-Day, they soon find that their mission to destroy a radio transmitter will be far deadlier than they planned. As they work with some French locals to break into the fortified church where the transmitter is being kept, the soldiers uncover a secret Nazi lab beneath the church with enemies unlike they’ve ever seen before.

Soon, the soldiers find themselves outnumbered by these undead monsters, and must now find a way to survive the war and this horde of Nazi mutants. Overlord promises to be high-octane zombie action that is equal parts zombie flick and science fiction horror, and we are here for it.

Overlord was initially rumored to be another installment in the Cloverfield franchise, and true to form for a Bad Robot movie, Abrams didn’t really have much to say about the movie or the monsters we could expect to see in the upcoming film.

However, after previewing the film for fans and critics at Fantastic Fest, it’s finally been revealed that this movie is officially something well outside of the Cloverfield franchise. And from initial reactions to the movie from Fantastic Fest and the looks of this final trailer, Overlord is one that you simply don’t want to sleep on.

Luckily, our wait is almost over, as Overlord is set to premiere in theaters everywhere on November 9.
