This is the most horrific merger since Voldemort and Bellatrix hooked up in Cursed Child!

EW is reporting that New Line Cinema has hired two writers from the Saw series to pen the next installment in the Final Destination franchise. Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, who co-wrote on four of the Saw movies, are joining forces once more to write some more horror for the next Final Destination movie.

The Final Destination horror series follows as Death hunts down people who have narrowly escaped tragedies to reclaim his victims. The series has been hugely popular since its premiere in 2000 (as is the Saw franchise), but the fifth installment was released a while ago in 2011. If there’s one thing that could make this series even scarier, it’s writers from the Saw series!

Melton and Dunstan are also currently collaborating on Guillermo del Toro’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, which is based on a book series of the same name. The movie will premiere in August 2019, so now you have multiple ways to get your horror fix.
