The final trailer for Deadpool 2 has arrived, and in addition to being hilarious, we get an even closer look at Deadpool’s new team, the X-Force.

We’re getting so close to the theatrical release of Deadpool 2, and to get us over those last few weeks of waiting that we’ll have to do between now and May 18, Marvel released one final trailer. And in case you were worried that this film would suffer from the infamous sophomore slump, don’t worry, Deadpool knows how important it is to make a good second impression.

The trailer gives us the best look we’ve had to date into what the film has in store for us. First off, we get a great look at Russell, the young boy that Deadpool is attempting to save from Cable’s murderous machinations. But we also get a much better look at some of the other members of Deadpool’s X-Force, and how he came to assemble such an impressive team.

The trailer is full of action and some classic Deadpool fourth-wall-breaking. For instance, when Cable lets out a string of pretty intense insults towards Deadpool after stabbing him, Deadpool comments, “You’re so dark! Are you sure you’re not from the DC universe?”

And while we do get a great look at X-Force members like Domino and her superpower of being lucky, as she calls it, the biggest reveal is in the most unassuming member of the X-Force: Peter. With no specific powers to speak of, obviously, he’s one that Deadpool admits into the X-Force immediately.

From the looks of the trailer, he really doesn’t seem to have any superpowers, but with the shots of him bravely jumping out of an airplane with the rest of his X-Force pals, he’s certainly got the guts to hang with Deadpool and the gang.

Some theories have wondered if this isn’t Peter “Pete” Wisdom from X-Men comics, a former MI6 agent and lowkey mutant with the ability to throw hot knives from his fingers. Of course, his true identity is wholly unconfirmed, but with the Deadpool movies being so closely tied to the X-Men universe, it’s not totally outrageous to think that this could be good ol’ Pete Wisdom himself.

But we’ll have to wait until the movie hits theaters to know for sure what is in store for us in Deadpool 2. The film premieres on May 18, and tickets are available now!
