Likely timed with the first photos of Katniss, filming for The Hunger Games will begin today on the east coast of the United States!

The Hob reports cast and crew will be filming in Shelby and Henry River Mill Village in North Carolina. District 12 townspeople and miners are the characters involved in these shoots, so it’s safe to say these scenes are set in that District.
