According to a source at Just Jared, Clint Eastwood’s son Scott is being considered for Fifty Shades of Grey’s titular lead role.

According to the site’s source, Eastwood is one of five actors under consideration for the role of the S&M-loving character and would star opposite Dakota Johnson, who is already set to portray Anastasia Steele.

Last Saturday we learned that Charlie Hunnam decided to drop out of Fifty Shades of Grey’s role because he got cold feet about starring in the project. Not only was the actor not pleased with the character development in the script, he also wasn’t enjoying the intense spotlight that had forced Universal to hire extra security for the star at a recent Hollywood event.

Production on Fifty Shades of Grey is expected to begin in November, so producers must move fast on finding their new Christian. Earlier this week we told you that Alexander Skarsgard, Theo James, and other male hotties are being considered for the role of Christian.

If Eastwood were to be cast, Universal would be choosing an unknown. The idea may be necessary because they may have trouble finding a big star willing to strip down and have his name attached to what was once Twilight fan fiction.

The blossoming actor has had roles in a couple of his father’s movies, including Gran Torino and Flags Of Our Fathers.

The film has a release date of August 1, 2014 and will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Who’s your current favorite to star as Christian in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’?

Thanks, Just Jared.
