The book to film adaptation of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey is setting up to have an impressive opening weekend at the box office. Meanwhile, two of the film’s soundtrack contributors have released music videos.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fifty Shades of Grey is expected to make around $45 million during its Valentine’s Day opening weekend thanks to “massive interest”. Most people who are interested in the film are over the age of 25 and, obviously, female.

If Fifty Shades manages to pull in over $50 million, the film will be the most successful at the Valentine’s Day box office behind Valentine’s Day which made $63.1 million in 2010.

Even though fans of the book series are excited, there was one small bump in the road earlier this week when we learned that the infamous tampon scene from the novel didn’t make the movie. The scene, which describes Christian pulling out Anna’s tampon before having sex with her, put off many readers because of the grotesque idea. Nonetheless, it was a major scene that gave the book it’s personality.

Here’s an excerpt of the Fifty Shades tampon scene in case you’re curious:

“When did you start your period, Anastasia?” he asks out of the blue, gazing down at me.
“Err… Yesterday,” I mumble in my highly aroused state.
“Good.” He releases me and turns me around.
“Hold on to the sink,” he orders and pulls my hips back again, like he did in the playroom, so I’m bending down.
He reaches between my legs and pulls on the blue string… What! And… gently pulls my tampon out and tosses it into the nearby toilet. Holy fuck. Sweet mother of all… Jeez.

In related news, Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack artists The Weeknd and Ellie Goulding, who have both already released their contributions to the film in recent weeks, have now unveiled music videos. Goulding’s song “Love Me Like You Do” features footage from the film scattered through video of Goulding’s performance. Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s video includes sexy dancing as the lead singer performs.
