The Fifty Shades of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker has cast two actresses for a pair of important roles.

These two characters will be familiar to readers of E.L. James’ popular book series — and they’re sure to stir up some trouble.

Bella Heathcote (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Dark Shadows) has been cast as Leila, an old submissive of Christian’s from two years before the events of Grey. Leila begins to stalk Ana and Christian in Darker. Based on what we’re reading on the Fifty Shades Wikia, she seems pretty crazy.

Meanwhile, Kim Basinger (Batman, 8 Mile, LA Confidential) has been cast as Elena — the woman who introduced Christian to the world of BDSM when he was 15. Though introduced in Grey, Elena takes on a larger role in Darker when she tries to damage Ana and Christian’s relationship.

Darker and the third film in the trilogy Fifty Shades Freed will be directed by James Foley (Perfect Stranger, Fear). The sequel hits theaters in February 2017, and the finale will open February 2018.

The Fifty Shades of Grey film series is based on the book series of the same name by E.L. James. The book to film adaptation of Grey pulled in an impressive $571 million worldwide when it opened in theaters over Valentine’s Day weekend this time last year.
