The Fifty Shades of Grey sequel may have picked up Mad Max star Charlize Theron to play Elena, otherwise known as Mrs. Robinson!

New Fifty Shades Darker casting rumors have the fandom all aflutter: according to a Movie News Guide roundup post, both Charlize Theron and Henry Cavill have quietly been cast in the sequel to the commercially successful Fifty Shades of Grey.

Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, whose most recent role in Mad Max: Fury Road proved to the world that she can play pretty much anything, has been linked with the role of Elena Lincoln for a couple of months, and according to Melty, she is currently negotiating to join the cast.

In E.L. James series, Elena is Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan)’s “Mrs Robinson,” the friend of his parents who later became his first dom.

Meanwhile, Batman v Superman‘s Henry Cavill is allegedly in talks to play Jack Hyde, Anastasia (Dakota Johnson)’s new boss, who goes full-on stalker in Fifty Shades Darker… which Ana, unsurprisingly, is kind of into.

Speaking of full-on, another intriguing rumor has it that Christian Grey will be going full frontal for the sequel: one of the complaints fans had about Fifty Shades of Grey was that while Dakota Johnson went completely nude, Jamie Dornan’s modesty was covered up at all times.

Production for Fifty Shades Darker is set to begin towards the end of the year, with the movie scheduled for release in 2017.
