The Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are very interested in the idea of a fifth movie.

Speaking to E! Online, the two stars who play Katniss and Peeta were welcoming when asked if they would do another movie after Mockingjay, Part 2.

“I kind of hope so,” said Lawrence. Added Hutcherson, “That would be kinda cool, wouldn’t it?”

The former elaborated. “It would be so fun. This is the best group and we have so much fun. I love doing these movies. I get really sad when I think that we’re almost done.”

Fans of the series know that Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games trilogy ends after the all-out war in Mockingjay, and the way the story ends doesn’t really make it possible for the story to continue.

E! also posed the question to Elizabeth Banks (Effie) who responded, “I’d love to see Suzanne Collins write something else that we could expand on. We love these characters. I think people are really fascinated to see where their lives go.”

We don’t think there’s a scenario that would make it possible for the story to continue, so fans shouldn’t get too concerned over the comments from the stars. The only possible way would be if Collins decided to write more. Mockingjay was released in August 2010, and since then there hasn’t been any sign of a fourth book.

Catching Fire opens in theaters November 22. Read our just-released review of the movie now!

Would it pick up from the epilogue in Mockingjay? Would we see a new leader try to bring back the Hunger Games to Panem?
