The first poster for Fear the Walking Dead’s second season paints an ominous picture over the ocean.

The poster depicts Strand’s boat on the ocean during sunset. The position of the sun, clouds, and boat make the poster depict something resembling a skull:

A new synopsis for the show also offers us a couple of new clues about what’s ahead. It reminds us that Madison, Travis, Strand, etc will be making their way out to the boat to protect themselves from the undead. Remember, Strand introduced us to his boat at the very end of season 1.

“Season one left off with Madison, Travis and their extended family taking temporary shelter in Strand’s gated estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean,” the synopsis from AMC reads. “As civil unrest continues to grow and the dead take over Los Angeles, the group prepares to escape to ‘Abigail,’ Strand’s large yacht moored offshore.”

We’ve previously wondered how long the characters could manage to stay on the boat before it gets pirated or they decide they need to live on land. While the boat appears to present a near-perfect opportunity for safety, it wouldn’t make for great television if the characters were all stuck on a boat.

Fear the Walking Dead season 2 stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris and Colman Domingo as Strand.

The show returns Sunday, April 10 — right after The Walking Dead season 6 wraps up. AMC: All zombies, all the time!
