AMC has already made the decision to renew Fear The Walking Dead for season 4, ahead of its season 3 premiere in June.
Fear The Walking Dead might not be as popular as The Walking Dead, but that doesn’t seem to matter to AMC executives. They’ve already green-lit season 4, which would presumably be airing in the summer of 2018.

Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time) will be joining the show in season 4 to act as co-showrunners, while Scott M. Gimple will join on as an executive producer. Fear The Walking Dead season 3 will be current showrunner Dave Erickson’s last with the series.
The show averaged 5.3 million viewers per episode in season 2, and of that 3 million were adults in the 18-49 category.
