Fear the Walking Dead won’t be airing a new episode tonight due to the Labor Day holiday in the United States. What the hell?

It seems strange for the series to be taking a break on multiple levels. For starters, the show only started two weeks ago — already it’s taking a break? Plus, season 1 is only six episodes long. Why is a six-episode season being snapped in half?

The third reason this is strange, and the most obvious reason, is this simple fact: There are no breaks during the apocalypse! Come on, AMC. How are we supposed to believe that a major disaster is taking place in Los Angeles when there’s a two-week gap in between episodes? Things are just starting to get insane!

Last week’s episode of Fear the Walking Dead found Travis and his family meeting the Salazar family after the citizens of Los Angeles let a protest get too out of hand. Residents remain largely unaware that there’s serious trouble afoot.

In episode 3 of Fear the Walking Dead, expect Travis and Daniel’s families to stick together. “After they escape a riot, Travis, Liza and Chris seek refuge with the Salazars; Madison defends her home,” reads a synopsis for “The Dog.”

We expect the two families to stick with each other for the remainder of the season. Despite the two small groups teaming up, we doubt they’ll get any closer to executing that escape-to-the-desert plan. Things have simply become too hectic for anyone to get out of the Los Angeles area — it’ll be hard enough for Travis to get back to Madison and her kids!

Fear the Walking Dead episode 3 will air Sunday, September 13 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC. Watch a clip from the new episode below:

What do you think of AMC’s decision to not air a new episode of ‘Fear’ due to the holiday weekend?

Being major fans of the new series, we’re upset.
