The first public screenings of The Fault in Our Stars took place over the weekend, and naturally those around the entertainment industry expressed their feelings on Twitter after getting out of the theater.

Outlets including Hypable were invited to a media/fan screening on Saturday night in New York City. 20th Century Fox smartly mixed the press with fans so that those who aren’t aware of the sensation around John Green could see – and hear – the reactions from fans as they watched the movie.

Of course, fans who attended the screenings shared similar feelings. Most of the tweets had to do with the amount of time they spent crying in the theater.

Formal reviews of The Fault in Our Stars are embargoed until the day of its theatrical release on June 6.

Shailene Woodley (who plays Hazel), Ansel Elgort (Gus), Nat Wolff (Isaac), and author John Green are in the midst of a nationwide tour across the United States to discuss the film with fans. Over 6,000 turned out for last night’s event in Ohio.
