Work on shooting The Fault in Our Stars movie is well underway. Director Josh Boone has revealed that they will begin filming in August.

Boone and producer Wyck Godfrey both took to their Twitters over the weekend to reveal that they are location scouting for the highly-anticipated book to film adaptation of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars.

“We shoot at the end of August,” Boone excitedly tweeted. “Leaving #themazerunner to scout locations for #thefaultinourstars,” Godfrey added. The director also tweeted a comment that Godfrey made to him: “The literal heart of Jesus is very hard to find.”

In addition, Boone confirmed to one of his followers that they will shoot The Fault in Our Stars movie partly in Amsterdam, which is where critical scenes in the book take place.

For those who don’t know: “Location scouting” is the process of heading out to multiple physical locations to find landscapes, buildings, etc that could be used for scenes in the movie. It’s not clear in what state Boone and Godfrey were looking over the weekend.

The Fault in Our Stars‘ Hazel and Gus will be played by rising stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. The pair are currently filming the book to film adaptation of Veronica Roth’s Divergent where they play siblings Tris and Caleb. The dystopian hits theaters this March.

A release date for The Fault in Out Stars has not been set, but Godfrey told us at a red carpet event late last year that they hope to release the movie in early 2014. No other casting announcements have been made, but presumably those will arrive within the next month or so.

The Fault in Our Stars‘ screenplay is by Scott Neustadter who penned (500) Days of Summer and The Spectacular Now.
