The Fault in Our Stars movie has issued a casting call looking for those who’ve been affected by cancer to appear as extras.

“The production would like to give teens and young adults, who have been or are currently cancer patients, the opportunity to appear in the movie,” says a casting announcement from Mosser Casting who are heading the selection process.

The Fault in Our Stars movie is looking for people between the ages of 13 – 23 years old “who have been affected by cancer.” We suspect that they are open to casting people who were not only diagnosed but may have a close friend or family member with the illness.

According to the casting call, “The roles are non-speaking and there is no experience necessary. Those cast for these roles will be needed for approximately two to five days of filming this September. All roles are paid positions.”

You can apply for a part by e-mailing tfiosextras@gmail.com with a recent photo of yourself as well as “a brief description of your experience with cancer.” Your name, age, your parent’s name (if you’re under 18 years old), and phone number must also be included.

The information was posted on The Pittsburgh Film Office website.

Good luck to everyone who applies!
