Another deleted scene from The Fault in Our Stars surfaced online today, and this one will hit all the emotions for fans of the book.

In the new deleted scene, Hazel recites to Gus “Red Wheelbarrow” as they ride in the ambulance following the latter’s scare at the gas station.

In the book by John Green, the moment occurs while Hazel and Gus are waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Perhaps to speed up the storytelling in the movie, the recital was moved into the ambulance so something could be going on in the background. Either way, the scene is very touching.

The Fault in Our Stars arrives on Digital HD with an Extended Edition this Tuesday, August 26. It will then hit DVD and Blu-ray on September 16. In addition to deleted scenes, fans can enjoy a commentary with director Josh Boone and Green. Order now on Amazon!

In another deleted scene that surfaced earlier this week, we see Hazel and Gus sitting sadly around the house after Gus’ hospital scare.

“Red Wheelbarrow” is by William Carlos Williams, though in The Fault in Our Stars, Hazel makes some modifications to the poem to describe Gus.
