Fans of Fate: The Winx Saga can rest easy knowing a season 2 is officially on the way!

On Thursday (February 18), Netflix announced that it has officially renewed Fate: The Winx Saga for a season 2.

News of the renewal comes just under a month after the live-action series adaptation debuted back on January 22.

In addition to announcing the renewal, the streamer also revealed that Vampire Diaries vet Brian Young is on board to return as showrunner and executive producer on the second season.

In front of the camera, cast members Abigail Cowen (Bloom), Hanna van Der Westhuysen (Stella), Precious Mustapha (Aisha), Eliot Salt (Terra), and Elisha Applebaum (Musa), have all signed to reprise their roles in season 2.

“The six episodes in season one only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it,” said Young in a statement announcing the series’ renewal. “As Bloom’s story continues to evolve, I can’t wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa! And you never know who might show up at Alfea next term…”

Shortly after news broke, Fate: The Winx Saga took to its official Instagram page to spread the word of season 2 with fans far and wide.

The show, which is based off of an Italian cartoon series by Iginio Straffi tells the coming-of-age tale of five fairies attending a magical boarding school called Alfea in the Otherworld. There, the fairies must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence.

Production on Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 is set to kick off later this year in Ireland, but there’s currently no word on when we can expect to see new episodes premiere on Netflix.
