Fast and Furious fans got a short teaser today from Vin Diesel ahead of the upcoming film’s full trailer release on Friday.

Vin Diesel’s Fast and Furious character Dom Torreto is fond of saying he doesn’t have friends, he has family.

Over the last 19 years of the increasingly expansive and explosive franchise, that catch phrase has been largely figurative, as most of the Fast and Furious crew (with the exception of his sister) are various friends — and sometimes enemies — he’s made over the years.

However it looks like the upcoming Fast 9, that phrase will become literal.

The Fast and Furious 9 full trailer won’t be released until this Friday, January 31st, but franchise lead Vin Diesel gave fans a sneak peak today. Check it out below!

Fast and Furious 9 will see director Justin Lin return to the franchise after stepping away for the last two films. The director previously directed 2006’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, 2011’s Fast Five, and 2013’s Fast & Furious 6. Though he will be returning to the franchise, longtime Fast and Furious screenwriter Chris Morgan will not be, as Daniel Casey will be stepping in to write the script — which makes the upcoming Fast and Furious film the first since Tokyo Drift not to be written by Morgan.

Along with franchise lead Vin Diesel, the upcoming movie will see the return of franchise regulars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Nathalie Emmanuel, with Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron likewise slated to make a return.

Though Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Luke Hobbs won’t be returning (the character spun off into his own franchise alongside Jason Statham with the blockbuster hit Hobbs and Shaw), another famous WWE wrestler will be joining the Fast and Furious franchise family — John Cena is set to join the ninth entry into the film franchise, along with Guardians of the Galaxy’s Michael Rooker.

Fast and Furious 9 will come speeding into theaters on May 22.
