Fargo continues tonight with episode 2 titled “The Rooster Prince.” Check out a preview of the episode and refresh yourself on last week’s premiere.

The synopsis of tonight’s Fargo episode 2 reads, “Molly begins to suspect that Lester is involved in the murders, but her boss points her in a different direction. Meanwhile, Malvo investigates the plot against a man known as the Supermarket King.”

After the three murders and another mysterious death in last week’s premiere, it looks like Allison Tolman’ Molly Solverson may get a bit of the spotlight in episode 2. The police will have to get to the bottom of the murders, but will they ever connect the dots to Lester? He cleverly knocked himself out at the scene of the crime, making himself look like a victim, not a suspect.

It appears that he’ll a suspect of Molly’s, but Molly may get some resistance from her new boss. Her old boss Vern Thurman predicted that she’d be the one to replace him, but with him dead so soon, the job will likely go to Bob Odenkirk’s Bill Olson.

A lot of the stills showed that the episode would focus on Molly, and here is an example:

The episode 2 teaser features the high critical praise Fargo has received this far along with a few cleverly vague clips that don’t help us see where the episode will be headed.

In related news, the premiere of Fargo brought in 4.15 million viewers, a strong showing from an FX premiere. Compared to other FX shows, 4.15 million viewers is higher than either season premiere of The Americans and higher than the first two seasons of American Horror Story (but not the most recent season). There have been rumors that the show could come back for a second season if this one is successful, and it looks to be on that path. A rumored second season would go the True Detective route and use a new story with new characters.

After “The Rooster Prince” airs, Hypable will release a recap of the episode. In the mean time, check out our recap of episode 1 to get you caught up.
