The third film in the Fantastic Beasts film series is about to start production, and a couple of the stars have hinted that they’re about to slip back into their roles.

In recent days, Jacob Kowalski actor Dan Fogler posted a photo of himself sporting the muggle baker’s shorter hair, and Vinda Rosier actress Poppy Corby-Tuech shared a cryptic Instagram with French signage that reads “Des Rosiers.” The character was an assistant to Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts sequel, which was set in Paris.

In mid January, Theseus Scamander actor Callum Turner said that they were about six weeks out from filming, meaning that the start of production is now imminent.

As we reported last year, Fantastic Beasts 3 hired Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves, underwent major re-writes, and its release was delayed a year following the mixed reaction to November 2018’s The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Over the past couple years, we’ve learned that the film will have more Hogwarts and Dumbledore in an effort to appeal to the longtime fans, and Fogler has claimed that the new movie is going to be bigger than the first two combined. Presumably the plot and number of characters have also been sharpened, in an effort to simplify the story. (This fan, and many others, found the plot of Grindelwald complicated.)

Fantastic Beasts 3, which is still untitled, will hit theaters November 2021. We expect Warner Brothers to announce the start of production in the weeks ahead, and hopefully at that time, they’ll share some additional details about the movie.
