WB recently revealed that a wizarding circus will be part of Fantastic Beasts 2’s plot, and it turns out that this thing was teased in the first film.

A previous report we shared indicated that circus artwork by the film’s graphic designers, MinaLima, created for Fantastic Beasts 1 ended up not being used for the movie, but that is wrong. Thanks to Madison for pointing out that at 1:32:55 in the film, Graves walks right by a poster advertising the upcoming circus, called Circus Arcanus.

For Supporters: How the wizarding circus might come into play in Fantastic Beasts 2

High-res art available from MinaLima provides a little more information about the circus, though the poster in the film differs slightly from the artwork the graphic designers have for sale. While we don’t know for sure that this is the same circus that’ll be in Fantastic Beasts 2… it seems likely. Like Newt, the circus is “bound for Europe” as it wraps up its time in the United States.

Perhaps the poster’s brief appearance in the first film was a little easter egg. Remember all those times J.K. Rowling foreshadowed upcoming events in her books? It’s safe to assume she’ll do some foreshadowing several times through her Wizarding World film series.

We don’t know much else about it, but the latest episode of MuggleCast offers up a few theories. Is Circus Arcanus filled with wizards working in secret? Will Newt somehow get involved with the show?
