Popular video game Fallout could soon be getting the series adaptation treatment over at Amazon.

Amazon Studios is in the process of developing a brand new series based on the best-selling video game, Fallout.

The studio took to its official Twitter account to share the big news with fans of the game far and wide.

As exciting as it might be to hear that a Fallout series could come to fruition, it seems as though Amazon Studios hasn’t quite given the pilot the green light just yet.

As THR reports, the fate of the potential series lies in whether or not the studio likes the script. Assuming they do, however, the plan is for the show to go directly to series.

Behind the scenes, Amazon is teaming up with Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan to bring the adaptation to life.

Currently, Joy and Nolan are attached to serve as executive producers on the project. In addition, the Westworld vets will be working alongside Bethesda Game Studios to bring the adaptation to life. Currently, there’s no word yet on who might be tasked with penning the script for the potential adaptation.

In a statement announcing their involvement, Joy and Nolan touched on the fact that they’re coming into the project already having been huge fans of the role playing game.

Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends,” said Joy and Nolan according to The Hollywood Reporter. “We’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon.”
