Monday

8:00PM EST/PST: ‘Bones’ on FOX

Episode Synopsis: In the season premiere of BONES, the Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of Jason Siedel, an accountant for the state department, whose remains were found in a hotel air conditioning unit. When Booth finds his old army buddy and CIA agent, Danny Beck (guest star Freddie Prinze, Jr.), clearing away evidence at the victim’s condo, he begins to realize that Siedel’s murder could yield more suspects than the team had anticipated. Booth also seeks out Aldo Clemens (guest star Mather Zickel), his friend and an ex-priest from their military days together, to get advice on his relationship with Brennan, now that Pelant has put a wedge between them. Meanwhile, Brennan must decide whether to have faith in Booth or to end her relationship with him.

Season 8 Recap: When we last left Booth and Brennan they were facing a fork in the road because of Pelant, the murderous technological conman who’s threatened the team on multiple occasions and even got out of prison because he forged a brand new identity. Last season Pelant’s story arc left him with a scarred face and a vendetta against Booth, so he threatened Booth with an ultimatum: Don’t marry Brennan or risk the lives of other innocent civilians. The season finale left us with an emotionally devastated Brennan who finally managed to propose to Booth, only to find out that Booth said no (unknowingly to her) because of Pelant.

9:00PM EST/PST: ‘New Girl’ on FOX

Episode Synopsis: The sitcom’s third season opens with Jess and Nick impulsively heading to a Mexican beach town, but their romantic getaway is threatened when Nick runs into trouble with the authorities. Meanwhile, Schmidt must choose between Cece and Elizabeth; and Winston is obsessed with finishing a puzzle.

Season 2 Recap: Jess had a roller coaster of a year in New Girl‘s sophomore season. At the very beginning she lost her teaching job and questions or not if she’s cut out as a teacher. She begins to try other jobs and starts to date a new guy, Sam. Nick worries that Jess is using him as a platonic boyfriend, while Schmidt becomes jealous of Cece dating other men.

After a night of drinking, Nick kisses Jess in one of the most memorable moments of the series. Wrought with guilt Jess breaks up with Sam while Cece decides to pursue an arranged marriage. Jess and Nick have a hard time defining their relationship but grow closer after Nick’s father dies and Jess helps him get through the funeral. They later go on their first date which ends up going horribly wrong.

Cece gets set up to marry Shivrang by their families so Schmidt retaliates by dating his college girlfriend Elizabeth. Everyone forgets Winston’s birthday but Jess and Nick finally did the deed. However, when Jess’ Dad stops by they don’t get to talk about what happened.

At Cece’s wedding Nick gets freaked out by the possibility he’s not good enough for Jess. Winston and Schmidt also plot to crash the wedding by setting a wild badger loose. In the end Schmidt gets put an awkward situation when Cece calls off the wedding and asks him to choose between her and Elizabeth. Of course, he responds by running away. Meanwhile, Nick and Jess decide to go in all with their relationship and drive away together.
