Another missed group may be getting ready to reunite: Fall Out Boy.

UPDATE 2: Fall Out Boy is officially reuniting! Learn about their new single, album, and tour!

Though details are extremely slim, PropertyOfZack – a trusted music source by our count – says the band is readying a reunion. It cites “several trusted sources.”

Despite this information, Joe Trohman took to his Twitter to deny the rumors:

UPDATE: While we can’t independently confirm the specific Fall Out Boy rumor, we have learned today from a reliable source that Pete Wentz will be making a music-related announcement soon.

Rumors of Fall Out Boy writing new music started surfacing last year, even though group members Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and Trohman had all denied the talk. Folie à Deux, its fifth and most recent album, was released in 2008 and peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200. Ultimately it didn’t perform as the group’s previous album, Infinity On High, which debuted at #1 on Billboard.

Wentz and Stump have both taken on side projects in the past few years since Fall Out Boy’s hiatus, but they weren’t as successful as they were with the band.

POZ says fans can expect an announcement “in the near future,” and we’ll of course bring it to you whenever it comes along!

Are you ready for a new Fall Out Boy album, and do you think the group can pull off a hit? Considering the hiatus, the band will be able to run on the excitement of a reunion.

Fall Out Boy is best known for its hit songs, “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” “Grand Theft Autumn,” “Dead On Arrival,” and our personal favorite, “Dance, Dance.”
