The biblical epic Exodus that stars Christian Bale in the lead role as Moses has added four more huge actors to its now all-star cast.

It has just been announced that Exodus will add Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley, Sigourney Weaver, and John Turturro to its cast that already includes Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton. Paul and Kingsley are still in negotiations, but they’re expected to sign on.

Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul has received praise across the board for his work as Jesse Pinkman, as evidenced by his two Emmy awards (though last week’s episode looks like he could be in line for a third). Though he’s worked in film before, it’s clear Breaking Bad has given him the opportunity to take roles in high-profile films. Exodus will be the first film he’s worked on where it wouldn’t be crazy to speculate that an Oscar nomination could come from it. Paul will play Joshua, the Hebrew slave who leads the people into the promised land after Moses.

The other three actors are no strangers to big films like this one.

Kingsley of course won an Oscar for playing the titular role in Ghandi, perhaps even more of an epic than Exodus will end up being. Kingsley will play the role of a Hebrew scholar.

Weaver has received three Oscar nominations throughout her career, though she has never won. It’d be unexpected, but perhaps she could get nominated for her role as the mother of Egyptian pharaoh Ramses II (played by Joel Edgerton).

Turturro will appear opposite Weaver as Ramses’ father. Though he’s never had a career that’s garnered him any attention from the Academy, his career has been a respectable one. He’s famous for his roles in various films by the Coen brothers.

Are you looking forward to the biblical epic ‘Exodus’?
