Disney’s live-ish-action Dumbo, to be directed by Tim Burton, might add Eva Green in a leading role.

Variety has learned that Eva Green is in early talks to star in Dumbo, a move that would reunite her with her Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Dark Shadows director Tim Burton.

Green would play one of four human lead characters. Disney is still looking for their male lead, as negotiations with Chris Pine fell through.

The movie is touted as a live-action adaptation of the 1941 animated classic, but as most of its lead characters are obviously elephants, it will in reality not be much more ‘live’ than last year’s The Jungle Book was.

Next week will see the opening of Disney’s latest, Beauty and the Beast. Also in the works are Mulan, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, The Sword in the Stone, Aladdin, Pinocchio, and many others.
