More Euphoria episodes are on the horizon over at HBO— and they’re coming sooner than you might think!

HBO kicked off the week with some great news for fans of its Emmy award winning drama series, Euphoria. The hit series is officially set to return with two brand new special episodes, the first of which will debut in early December!

Shortly after news broke, series star, Zendaya, took to Twitter to spread the word to fans far and wide.

“We really missed them. Two special Euphoria episodes coming soon. First one December 6th on @HBO,” tweeted the actress.

So what can fans expect from the first brand new special episode?

Titled “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” the December 6 episode will find the series exploring what transpires in the aftermath of Rue (Emmy Award winner Zendaya) being left by Jules (Hunter Schafer at the train station and subsequently relapsing. From there, it’ll follow along as Rue celebrates the Christmas holiday.

Also set to appear as part of the special is actor Colman Domingo who played Ali in the series’ first season. Ali was last seen in episode 5, “’03 Bonnie and Clyde,” at the rehab center where he and Rue have a chat.

Series creator Sam Levinson served as writer and director on “Trouble Don’t Last,” which was also produced under COVID-19 guidelines.

Unfortunately, fans of the series will have to sit tight with regards to finding out what the second special episode might entail. While HBO was generous in providing some plot details for the first of the two, they’ve not yet revealed what the second will focus on.

Euphoria returns with special episode, “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” on Sunday, December 6 at 9 p.m.
