It’s finally happening. That Entourage movie we’ve heard so much about is in the pipeline, as Warner Bros. has greenlit the film and the show’s cast is currently in talks to return to the life of Vincent Chase.

HBO’s hit series Entourage, which ran from 2004 through 2011, followed up-and-coming actor Vincent Chase as he and his childhood friends took on the ups and downs of Hollywood, encountering tons of celebrities along the way. The series, executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, came to a fantastic end just two years ago, although the plan from creator Doug Ellin and the cast has been to return to the Hollywood saga with a feature film. It looks like that’s finally happening.

Deadline broke the story, which apparently developed after Warner Bros. formally greenlit the project late last night. Ellin has been reportedly working on the script for what seems like years, with the show’s actors talking about it for just as long, although the project was never really confirmed from a studio level.

The report goes on to say that the studio hasn’t gone any farther with the project, so no start date has been set, although we can assume the script is ready. Warner Bros. has begun talks with Adrian Grenier (Chase), Kevin Connolly (E), Kevin Dillon (Johnny Drama), Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) and Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold). We can also assume to see other familiar faces such as Emmanuelle Chriqui as Sloan, Rex Lee as Lloyd, Perry Reeves as Mrs. Ari, Rhys Coiro as Billy Walsh, not to mention a bevy of Hollywood’s finest, sign on for roles as well.

The obvious question here is how the series will translate into film, and how the characters’ lives will progress following the show’s ending. As fans of the series, we’ll certainly be curious to see how this all pans out, and will have all the updates for the film along the way to its release.
