Don’t forget to pick up your copy of EW this week, which features Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke on the cover!

Game of Thrones returns in just over two weeks! To celebrate, Entertainment Weekly is featuring the characters Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen on the cover of this week’s issue, as well as some enticing coverlines and articles.

Inside the magazine, which goes on sale tomorrow (Friday, March 15), you’ll also find an in-depth feature article about the third season.

Previewing some of the interviews the magazine will feature, we get this quote from story editor Bryan Cogman: “Emotionally, this season really goes for the jugular. In some cases, quite literally.”

Executive producer David Benioff promises that, “once the season kicks into gear, we’ve already seen stuff that makes me think it will be the best one yet. And it ought to be.”

His fellow EP D.B. Weiss can tease, “major massive events happening like I don’t think we’ve ever had before. One of these has come to be known as the, ‘Scene Which Shall Not Be Named,’ which left the crew devastated while shooting it.”

But hey! We can always lighten the mood with some bear jokes, right? No? Fine, we’ll just have to grin and bear it.

Listen to Hypable’s Game of Thrones podcast Game of Owns for more insight into the upcoming third season of the series, a chapter-by-chapter discussion of the first book in the ASOIAF series, and more bear jokes. Naturally.
