Summit has released the first Ender’s Game trailer for the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s popular Sci-Fi novel of the same name.

Watch the Ender’s Game trailer below:

Ender’s Game will star Asa Butterfield as Ender Wiggin, a child genius who is recruited to attend Battle School – a training camp in space where gifted children are sent to learn the skills they need to be soldiers in what may be the most dangerous war Earth has ever fought. At Battle School, Ender is faced with the trials and tribulations that will ultimately lead him to be the humanity’s best hope for survival against an imminent invasion from Earth’s mortal enemy – the Buggers.

Ender’s Game will also feature Ben Kingsley (Mazer Rackham), Harrison Ford (Colonel Hyrum Graff), Abigail Breslin (Valentine Wiggin), Hailee Steinfeld (Petra Arkanian) and Aramis Knight (Bean).

This novel is a favourite amongst fans of the Sci-Fi genre and a film adaptation of the story has been anticipated for some time. Fans are particularly interested in how the timeline for this story, which takes place over several years, will be condensed into an on-screen appropriate timeline.

Ender’s Game is set for release on November 1, 2013. You can catch the Ender’s Game trailer in theaters with Star Trek Into Darkness later this month.
