Ender’s Game fans will be excited to see the logos of four Battle School armies released today on four individual Ender’s Game fansites. The release of these logos marks a long-awaited look at some new visual aspect of the film, as we’ve seen only one still image so far.

If you are a student at Battle School in Orson Scott Card’s dystopian novel (soon-to-be feature film) Ender’s Game, your value is decided based on your ability to compete in the battle room. The Children of Battle School form armies, each of which has an animal logo and name, and compete against each other in a zero-gravity environment with one goal in mind: eliminate the opposition.

The images released today are the logos for four armies which we assume will play an important roll in the upcoming film adaptation of Ender’s Game which is due to be released on November 1 of this year.

Rat Army

Ender is traded to Rat Army after his tenure in Salamander – here, he’s under the command of “Rose the Nose” and under the direct supervision of his ‘toon leader Dink Meeker.

Asp Army

Asp Army is not featured in the novel version of Ender’s Game, but is listed in The Authorized Ender Companion by Jake Black.

Salamander Army

In the novel, Salamander is the first Battle School army that Ender is placed in. Salamander Army’s commander, Bonzo Madrid, is a bully responsible for some important development in Ender’s character. Salamander Army is also where Ender becomes friends with Petra Arkanian, who helps Ender learn how to shoot!

Dragon Army

Dragon Army was defunct and disbanded because of its losing reputation, but was re-established and placed under the command of the Battle School’s newest (and youngest ever) commander, Ender Wiggin, after he managed to consistently remain a top-ranked soldier, despite his relative inexperience in battle.

Today’s logo release from Ender’s Ansible (Rat Army), Ender’s Game Fansite (Asp Army), EnderWiggin.net (Salamander Army), and EnderNews (Dragon Army) marks the first release of new Ender’s Game images in some time – and rumor has it that a new still is slated for release tomorrow!
