Empire season 3, episode 6, “Chimes at Midnight,” will be showing Cookie’s goods — well, not really! Looks like the public may get to see a bit more of Cookie and the Lyon family than anyone had previously thought.
In the previous episode of Empire, the Lyon brothers were once again at each other’s throats. Lucious does an amazing job of pitting his sons against each other. If they only realized that and worked together, instead of the opposite, things would be much simpler.
Also from the episode, Angelo proved himself once again to Cookie, and Becky seems to be inching closer and closer to Empire’s exit door. Check out this sneak peek of this week’s episode.

The cat’s out the bag. Empire is hacked and apparently we’re getting a special guest appearance from “Cookie’s cookies.” Jussie Smollett is so funny in these behind-the-scenes looks.
We see Tariq walking into Empire, but does that mean he’s behind the hacking? Or is he there on official FBI business to “help” Empire figure out who hacked them? Either way he’s probably behind it.
Angelo might be too good for Cookie. When I say too good, I don’t mean she’s not good enough for him. It’s simply that she may not need to be dating someone who’s running for Mayor. Then again, who am I to judge? I still ship them, so that says something.
“What is [Jamal] doing with D-Major?” Jussie took the words right out of my mouth. Speaking of people being too “good” for others, Jamal is way too good for D-Major.
Yes, D may be smooth, handsome and has great game, but Jamal has all that and more! He’s obviously not in the right state of mind since he’s mixing his pain killers with alcohol. That is a deadly cocktail for sure. Jamal better wake up from that.
On another note, it seems Andre and Hakeem are still beefing about Nessa. In Hakeem’s defense, he and Nessa “vibed” a while back. Ha freaking ha! Millennials get a bad rap because of “kids” like Hakeem — he’s so entitled.
I like Nessa with Andre even though his wife Rhonda was just murdered by his father’s wife and the mother of his brother’s child. The Lyon family drama never ends.
Andre should just be honest with ‘Keem and say, “Look, bro. Your baby-mama killed my wife. Let me have this! Please!” Yeah, right.
Even as I wrote that, I knew Hakeem would never go for it. He’s lucky Andre didn’t kill Anika after what she did. Then who’d be taking care of his child? I’m sure it still wouldn’t be him. Smh.
