Empire 2×14, “Time Shall Unfold,” ended with a shocking reveal and the fan reactions did not disappoint.

On “Time Shall Unfold,” it was revealed that Lucious’ mother has been alive the entire time. Shame on us for once again believing something that Lucious said. He’s even having his mother’s supposed suicide added into his new music video for “Boom boom boom boom.” While that was definitely the most shocking moment of the night, it wasn’t the only interesting one.

Anika finally came out to the family about being pregnant with Hakeem’s baby. That moment brought some hilarious lines from Cookie and Jamal. After Lucious bullied Hakeem and sabotaged almost everything just before the shareholders meeting, Hakeem was also let go from CEO duties at Empire.
