In Empire season 2, episode 14, “Time Shall Unfold,” it looks like Anika will finally come clean to the Lyon family about her pregnancy.
Episode 13 of season 2 didn’t disappoint. There was a slight war between Tiana and Lara, but Hakeem came through to help dissolve the issues. I don’t think Tiana is done arguing her point but that didn’t bother Hakeem much because he ended up proposing to Lara!
The Lyon family found out a bit more about Lucious’ past, including the fact that his mother was bi-polar and committed suicide in front of him. Obviously finding that out was both good and bad for Andre, who suffers from the disorder himself.
Cookie realized that Freda is Frank Gathers’ daughter, which totally freaked her out at the end of the episode. And how can we forget about Rhonda deciding to stay the night with Anika?

So Anika WILL be announcing that she’s pregnant to the family in this episode! Oh boy, this is gonna be good. Am I the only one that thinks Cookie’s reactions are completely realistic and how I would react to that same situation? Doesn’t matter. I hope a paternity test is in the near future, just in case.
We also get to see Lucious making Hakeem look like a complete fool at the share holder meeting. This is a really big deal. I don’t say this often, at all, but I don’t think what Lucious did is completely out of hand. I don’t think Hakeem deserves to be CEO. He doesn’t even know what he’s doing. He thinks he can just point at people and tell them what to do. No sir, not at Empire.
Finally, Cookie is not wrong to be worried about Freda. ‘Who killed Frank Gathers’ is going to come out into the light at some point, and when Freda finds out it isn’t going to be good. But for now can we enjoy everyone else’s ignorance and just let them make their music?
Speaking of music, I can’t wait for Tiana’s number tonight! I love her curls but she is rockin’ that straight hair look!
