Harry Potter actress Emma Watson may be in line to star in the live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

Though this is just a rumor, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) is said to have his sights on the Beauty and the Beast live action remake.  There doesn’t seem to be any details of the project on del Toro’s IMDB page, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t in the very early stages of development. Whether del Toro will serve as director or just producer on the project is unknown.

The report says Watson is to star in the adaptation, which presumably would make her Belle.  Do you like this role for Emma Watson? Let us know!
