The newest show from the creators of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries will premiere October 7. But who is Emma Woodhouse?

Emma Approved is the new web series from the creators of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and Welcome to Sanditon. The show will premiere on October 7.

A new description on the Emma Approved website has left open the possibility of cameos from the previous web series. Showrunner Bernie Su has previously discussed this option, saying, “This doesn’t necessarily mean anyone will actually cross over. It just means that they one day could.”

In a recent post, Emma talks about “Sidney Parker and my friends over at Pemberley Digital.” Perhaps we are more likely to see a Welcome to Sanditon crossover, than we are see see a cameo from The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

So who is Emma? According to her website, Emma is a twenty-something living in Southern California. Her hobbies include photography, writing, dancing, fashion, travel, music and art. But that isn’t all:

Technically I run the matchmaking and lifestyle division of the developing Highbury Partner’s Lifestyle group. But really?

I make your life better, and I never fail.

The burning question for fans now is – who will play Emma? The production team have even developed a #WhoIsEmma tag on Twitter to encourage fans to spread the word. As of yet, no casting information has been released for the new show – and in keeping with the style of these web series, it is unlikely that any will be prior to the premiere episode.

Emma Approved is a modern web series adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma. It is the third Austen adaptation from co-creators Bernie Su and Hank Green.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries recently picked up the Emmy for Original Interactive Program at the Creative Arts Emmys in recognition of their transmedia team.
