Game of Thrones vet Emilia Clarke could soon be joining the Marvel family!

According to Deadline, Emilia Clarke is currently in talks to join the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Secret Invasion> series at Disney+.

As with most Marvel projects, details with regards to who Clarke will play are being kept close to the chest for the time being.

Should negotiations go through however, the Game of Thrones vet will join actors Jackson Mendelsohn and Samuel L. Jackson, both of whom are on board to reprise their big screen MCU roles for the series.

Mendelsohn and Jackson have previously portrayed the Skrull Talos and Nick Fury, respectively, on the big screen. Both characters first met in Captain Marvel, which offered fans their first taste of the Skrulls’ ability to shape shift.

Based on the Marvel comic book series storyline of the same name, Disney+ and Marvel’s Secret Invasion series chronicles the slow earth invasion of the Skrulls— an alien race known for their shapeshifting abilities.

The comics also found the Skrulls positing as Avengers, which makes the source material ripe for crossovers between characters we haven’t seen share screen time yet.

Other actors also on board to star opposite Jackson and Mendelsohn in the Disney+ original series include One Night in Miami star Kingsley Ben-Adir as well as Oscar winner Olivia Colman (The Crown).

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see Secret Invasion debut via Disney+.
