Comedian Ellen DeGeneres is in talks for the Finding Nemo sequel that we had learned was in development last month.

DeGeneres voiced the slow-minded but funny character Dory in the original 2003 film. Andrew Stanton, who directed, has a concept for Finding Nemo 2 that Pixar reportedly loves.

Victoria Strouse (New Best Friend) is writing the script and Lindsey Collins (John Carter, Wall-E) is producing.

We haven’t heard about talks for any other stars yet. One big question may be whether Alexander Gould, who voiced Nemo, will return. He has of course aged considerably since the early 2000s and may no longer have the voice the film needs unless the storyline advances several years like Toy Story 3‘s.

The film is likely to be released in 2016. For now, you can enjoy Finding Nemo 3D in theaters on September 14.

Thanks, Heat Vision.
