Elisabeth Moss has signed on to star in another thriller coming soon from Blumhouse—here’s what we know about Mrs. March!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emmy Award winner Elisabeth Moss has officially joined the cast of Mrs. March, a brand new feature film coming down the pipeline at Blumhouse.

The star of The Handmaid’s Tale’s involvement with the project marks the second time Moss will star in a Blumhouse thriller.

Earlier this year, Moss starred opposite Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Harriet Dyer in the production company’s sci-fi horror picture, The Invisible Man.

Mrs. March is based off of an upcoming novel written by Virginia Feito. Due out next August, the novel focuses on an Upper East Side housewife who slowly begins to unravel after she begins to suspect that the horrible protagonist of her husband’s bestselling novel is actually based on her.

Feito is on board to write the script for the upcoming adaptation, which Moss, herself, will star in as the titular character.

In addition to starring in the forthcoming adaptation, Moss will also serve as a producer on the project through her Love and Squalor production banner. Love and Squalor, in turn, is working alongside Blumhouse to develop the forthcoming adaptation.

In a statement announcing her involvement with the project, the actress spoke of how she was instantly enthralled by Feito’s novel, and immediately knew she wanted to adapt it, and play the titular character.

“As a character, she is fascinating, complex, and deeply human, and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into her,” said Moss. “Mrs. March is exactly the kind of engaging and challenging female-led project that Love and Squalor Pictures is built to make.”

Other producers on the project include Moss’ fellow Love and Squalor cohort Lindsey McManus, in addition to Jason Blum, Carla Hacken, Bea Sequeria, and Feito.

Currently, there’s no word on when we might see Mrs. March starring Elisabeth Moss to hit the big screen.
