Elementary is moving further into winter, but without the detective by the same name. See how Sherlock is coping in a sneak peek clip!

We are living in a post Kitty Winter world. At the close of last week’s episode viewers bid farewell to Sherlock’s almost partner after she exacted her revenge on her captor, Del Gruner. This week’s Elementary season 3, episode 13, “Hemlock,” picks up after her departure with Sherlock adjusting to a solitary life once again.

Although Watson is still NYC adjacent, Sherlock takes the opportunity to fill his life with more work than company. The remainder of season 3 will focus on Sherlock and Joan reestablishing the boundaries of their professional and personal relationship. And what better way to get Sherlock and Joan to talk than to place a case in the middle of it all? In the clip from this week’s episode, Watson joins Sherlock to go over some intriguing developments in an otherwise open and closed case.

Watch the sneak peek here:

Watson understands that underneath Sherlock’s insensitive jibes her friend is appreciative of her presence. Her reaction to Andrew’s return to New York does not fly over Sherlock’s head when he mentions that she can finally enjoy all the perks that come along with a full time relationship. That includes meeting the in-laws.

Synopsis: “When a debt collector is murdered, Holmes and Watson attempt to narrow down a suspect pool of thousands of consumers who owed the man money. Meanwhile, Watson’s relationship with Andrew progresses when he asks her to meet his father for the first time.”

A few weeks ago Sherlock suggested to Joan that perhaps she is not cut out for a “normal” relationship. If Joan’s relationship doesn’t work out for the better, perhaps a move back to the brownstone could be in their future?
